What You Will Do as a Companion Caregiver?

As a companion caregiver with CareHero, you will provide supportive and enriching care to individuals in their homes, helping them stay safe, active, and comfortable. You’ll have the freedom to create a schedule that works for you. This is an excellent opportunity for caregivers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through companionship and daily support.

Key Responsibilities of a Companion Caregiver

• Offer companionship and engage in stimulating activities (e.g., conversation, games, reading)
• Assist with light household tasks (e.g., meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry)
• Provide transportation and assistance with errands, appointments, and social outings
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the client
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and CareHero staff

Qualifications for Companion Caregivers

• Prior experience in companion care or working with seniors (either professionally or personally)
• CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar certification is a plus, or equivalent experience in companion care
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
